@oyster- the battery life argument is a load of crap. What about when the phone is plugged in- i.e. when it's used with an in-car kit for GPS?Apple are just totally inflexible because they're lazy. Yes, most people would not 'get' the backgrounding thing, it could be turned off by default. It's not rocket science, they're supposed to be UI masters, I'm sure they could manage something. Oh wait, someone already did with the Backgrounder app.

It depends on the game. I would never, say, want to play Metroid Prime 3 with a regular controller - hell, I had basically avoided the Metroid Prime series until 3 because I can't ***** stand to use a regular controller for FPS games (thank God they released that Wii edition).
