I totally agree and don't plan on having kids. Most people I talk to about the issue never even really considered not having kids as a serious option... And then there's the religious ppl who seem to want more and more kids regardless of how much free time / money they have.

From someone who lived there for 18 years:Yes! You should visit. West River is gorgeous. Deadwood, Sturgis (think Harley Rally), Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills. East river is OK (I'm from East River), just not all that scenic. Mostly flat grazing and farmland. And when I say flat, I mean you can see to the horizon without seeing ANYTHING...not even a tree...at some points.No. You shouldn't live there. It's god-awful. Aside from not having anything to do (unless you live in the only city in the state, Sioux Falls, or the second largest at half the size Rapid City), the majority of the people aren't what you'd call...intelligable. Nice folks. Some of the nicest you'll ever meet. But if you're looking for conversation that flows past the weather, the Twins/Vikings, and hunting, you'll be looking elsewhere fast.

First of all, you're right that this country has no right to be anywhere else in this world. No god died and made us police. Our soldiers have done terrible things, some ordered, some not. There's no question that this entire conflict is a disgusting, politically motivated *****.But you lost me when you said these people deserve it. If he had killed Bush or Rumsfield - someone who planned these invasions or whatever, that would be one thing. Mowing down unarmed people who have done nothing but be your comrade's in arms? I balk at the suggestion that any of these people deserved it. And you using this guys actions as proof positive of our mistakes is no better then Fred Phelps picketing funerals.
