In the late 80's, most laptops were clunky, beige or white, with flimsy plastic covers and connectors. Then came out with the, at the time, sleek Powerbooks. A year later every laptop was black or dark gray, and gone were all the external buttons and LCDs that cluttered them up.You can tell how good a design team is by how many people copy them. Look at the iPod wheel, the iPhone, the newer iMacs, etc...!
