When did this trending thing start? I think it's kinda a bad idea. Not because it's annoying (Which it vaguely is, but to get seriously annoyed by something inconsequential like that is just silly) but because it won't give an accurate portrayal of whether or not people like an article.Look at it this way: Right now, there's a lot of blind diggers out there. People who digg based just on the headline/description. This is a serious problem, since it can cause horribly written articles to hit FP simply because the premise is good, and it also shifts the focus from the article to the submitter, which very well could be one of the causes of the poweruser phenomenon. Blind digging was a big enough problem before this change.Now, this trend thing comes along, and places a time limit on people. This makes it so people are even less likely to read through the article than before, because they're afraid the time limit will run out. Of course, we all know there's no penalty for not voting on a digg trend article, but there's a psychological effect when we know there's a time limit. People see the time limit, and out of fear of it, they compulsively hit the 'digg' button.Then there's the people who hate the digg trends so much, they rebel by burying any and all digg trend items. It's a ridiculous way to react, yes, but that's just how people are.I suggest letting people opt out of it, like sewalsh said, and making the time limit less prominent/imposing. It's a good basic idea (one of digg's biggest faults is that it takes a lot of time to hit front page) but it needs some tweaking.EDIT: See, people are already rebelling by burying. Told ya so.
If people don't want to have kids then let them be. How is this even an issue?

BerateBirthers.. he killed 13 people and injured over 30 because he did not agree with the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. But he also killed those people because he did not want to be sent to Iraq. And who would have sent him to Iraq for active duty? That is right, the same president who proclaimed that he would end the war in Iraq and the same president who said our troops should be in Afghanistan instead during the 2008 elections. So instead of being a hypocrite and propping up your beliefs with partial truth, you need to look at the entire picture and realize if you are willing to blame George W. Bush you must also blame Barack Obama and all the Democrat and Republican Senators who voted in favor of funding the wars.?
I object, are there videos of democrats interrupting people with "I object" after every word they say?

It's because the studio execs don't know a damn thing about what makes a great show. They are so far removed from the ground level, that they pay attention to marketing formulas and greedy suits who have no sense of humor. It's pretty much the same with any big corporation that has too many tiers between the ground floor and top. Remember Family Guy got canceled too, although the DVD sales convinced the ***** at the top to put that one back on the air.
