It's something of a marvel that after more than a billion years of evolution, we still manage to produce so many morons like Kirk Cameron.On another note, I've been reading "The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution" by Richard Dawkins lately. I'm about 3/4 through it, and he has some excellent information in there, both for science and non-science types. One thing I appreciated about this book is that Dawkins avoids religion entirely and just focuses on the science, which means I might actually be able to get more people to read it. He starts off by mentioning that many religious leaders fully acknowledge the fact of evolution, which is something a lot of people forget. You can accept evolution without being a godless heathen. I mean, even the freaking Pope praised evolution, and the Vatican took how many centuries to finally admit their mistake when it came to Galileo? Either way, it's a good read, even though Dawkins does have a habit of going off on tangents about really silly things, like naming conventions when it comes to taxonomy and the like. That stuff is a little painful, but it's very easy to skip it and get right back to the good stuff..
Anyone that calls them cowards has no understanding whatsoever of chronic depression and mental illness.!

I don't know about you guys, but I can spot a poor idea a mile away. Don't need any math to see that certain ideas suck. How often do you see a trailer or read about a proposed treatment and say to yourself, this going to suck big time and it usually does.

I am Muslim. I have read the Koran and it has taught me to be respectful of those of other religions as well as your own.The Koran has taught me to treat those of other religions as you would treat those of your own religion.This is also what has been preached in my Mosque. I don't know what Koran you have read but it is not the same one as mine.Today our Mosque leader condemned the attacks and stated that Major Hasan will no doubt be going to Hell.The Koran does not justify such an act. Nothing justifies such a terrible act !
