“Those who hoped the Droid would "kill" the iPhone are going to be disappointed, but... that doesn't mean it's a failure. The iPhone head start is quite huge and it'll take time before the market opens up to other offerings. The Droid may not wrest the iPhone's user base away from Apple, but it could go a long way to help the public see that the iPhone isn't the only good phone. Over time, if more of these kinds of products come out, the playing field will level. So yeah, the Droid isn't an iPhone killer... but it plays its role as a market-changer.
