"Whenever you make any product there's a thermodynamic limit to the efficiency with which you can make that product. There's a thermodynamic limit to the efficiency with which you can provide a service." -- Of course there is a theoretical and practical limit to the efficiency of any process: the first law of thermodynamics guarantees that. Fortunately for us, this fact has literally _nothing_ to do with whether or not the economy is a zero-sum game. You have missed the point entirely.Let me give you a simple example to demonstrate my point.I am a gardener and produce vegetables. I want to eat fish with my dinner. My neighbor is a fisherman and wants to eat vegetables with his fish. We work out a barter whereby I trade part of my crop for part of my neighbor's catch. An economic transaction has occurred. I am better off, because I desired the fish I received more than the vegetables I parted with. Importantly, my neighbor is also better off, because he wanted the vegetables more than the fish. My gain is not my neighbor's loss: we have both profited from the exchange. My example uses fish and vegetables, but you can substitute any goods or services you want and add any number of participants, and the result stays the same.If I may make a guess (and I admit it's just a guess), it seems to me like you are making the mistaken assumption that the value of any good or service is measured by the amount of amount of labor or material that went into making it. Many people make this assumption, but it is not borne out by observation of the real world. The value of a good or service is determined by how much people desire it and how difficult it is to obtain it, in other words supply and demand."The idea of regulation is to smooth out the bumps." -- Sure, that's the _idea_. Whether or not the results match the intent is another conversation entirely.
I used to think that, but if it's a small enough charge, I'd be willing to bite.

“Just because you can get $2 for every £1 doesn't mean you are saving anything.Something that's £100 in the UK will be roughly $200 in the US, too. So no real saving. Plus you gotta add all the importing and postage costs. If something's actually cheaper in America ($75 compared to £50, say), it doesn't mean it's anything to do with the conversion rates, it just means it's cheaper to buy in America and would be whatever the conversion rates.Companies tend to adjust their prices, so if something was $200 and that was £140 in the UK due to conversion, as soon as it becomes 2:1 ($:£), the price will soon go up to roughly $250-$280 again.

Actually if you look at the release notes for android 2.0 it seems that they have unlocked multitouch. "MotionEvent can now report simultaneous-touch information for devices that support it. Up to three pointers can be tracked simultaneously.".
Sure, until her obvious aggression issues drive her to knee you in the balls. That chick hates something and will pound the ***** out of anybody who will take it, including her boyfriend. Soccer just gives her an excuse to vent some of her hostility. I doubt that ***** stays on the field!

Go AFACT. Win. Beat this ISP into bankrupcty.?
Sorry (and happy) to say it guys, but this ain't the original. There were actually like 20 something "original" BTTF modded Deloreans used across the trilogy, and I'm pretty sure this is the bad dupe they used to schlep up to do the occasional display out in front of the old BTTF ride in Universal Studios Hollywood. I can remember being so stoked to go up and take pictures of the thing, only to look closer and see that most of the original gadgets and details were missing... which lead me to believe that this was either a stunt copy used in long shots, or that they had just thrown something together for use in the park. |

I really really hate hipsters. Not just because they're pretentious douchebags, but because they ruined indie. Now, anyone who likes indie music is labeled pretentious, regardless of whether they also listen to mainstream or not. They also ruined fedoras.
