Ehh, the US has a nice benefit in that most of its very large area is habitable and arable, unlike Russia or Canada.?
Have they figured out how or why they lasted so much longer than planned? That would be worth knowing...was it something abut the martian soil or light or atmosphere they didn't realize that allowed them to go further or recharge better or not use as much energy or...?
